Le Conseil Interuniversitaire d' Études des Nouvelles Technologies de l'Information (CIENTI)
(Webforce inter-university in English) is a specialized commission created by Webforce International, in conformity with its status. Webforce International operates in consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), is pending for affiliation with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and is in continuous contact with various international intergovernmental or non governmental organizations involved.
The CIENTI has several main goals, among which:
- offering an exchange and expression forum to university professors, researchers and academicians involved.
- promoting research and innovation in its sphere of interest.
- giving rise to the creation of independent observatories dealing with diverse aspects of deontology at the international level: respect of privacy, fight against the use of ICTs for criminal purposes (illegal traffics, paedophilia, subliminal propaganda, etc.)
- coordinating the activities of universities, faculties, research centers, superior institutes, academies and all cultural and professional bodies involved
- promoting the development of distance learning and of all forms of distance education related to ICTs or using them
- supervising the institutions’ quality and the specialists’ degree of expertise so that their work can be valorized by an appropriate “document of recognition”
- developing all training courses leading to a degree related to ICTs
- organizing colloquia, seminars, curricula and publishing books, brochures or any other useful media.
